In the field of seafood, Ms. Kim Thu, shrimp market expert of the Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (Vasep), shrimp exporting businesses expect from the Government and ministries to take measures to stabilize costs. Input costs for shrimp production, for example, the price of shrimp feed and increased control of seed quality. According to Ms. Thu, the current selling price of Vietnamese shrimp is still quite high compared to other countries, causing fear for importers. Vietnamese shrimp continues to compete with Ecuadorian and Indian shrimp in terms of price and supply. Therefore, to promote export growth of this product, it is necessary to have policies to stabilize input costs for shrimp production.
