Conference held in Thanh Hoa on links with Italy

North-central province’s exports to Italy estimated at $22.3 million in 2023.

Vietnamese and Italian delegates visit a booth showcasing products from Thanh Hoa and Italy at an exhibition held on the sidelines of ‘Italy Day in Thanh Hoa’.

A conference was held recently in north-central Thanh Hoa province to connect investment and trade between the province and Italy.

It was part of “Italy Day in Thanh Hoa”, which was held to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Italy.

Thanh Hoa will create the most favorable conditions possible for Italian investors and businesses seeking cooperative activities in the locality, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thi told the conference.

He called for investment in the fields of manufacturing and processing, tourism, agriculture, health, urbanization, and infrastructure.

Ambassador of Italy to Vietnam, H.E. Marco Della Seta, said the conference was an initiative to help his country’s enterprises gain access to a dynamic market like Thanh Hoa.

There are nine enterprises in Thanh Hoa exporting products to Italy, primarily garments and textiles, footwear, and seafood.

Thanh Hoa’s exports to Italy are estimated at $22.3 million in 2023.
