Year-end agricultural export shipments continue to contribute to the joy of the new Spring. Dak Lak’s export turnover has grown impressively, estimated at 1.675 billion USD, equal to 104.7% of the yearly plan, up 10.47% over the previous year.

In the bustling atmosphere of the last days of the year, the Ea H’leo Macadamia Agricultural Production, Trade and Service Cooperative, Ea H’leo District, Dak Lak Province held a ceremony to officially export the first batch of macadamia nuts under the brand name “Macca Ea H’leo” to the Korean market.

The shipment weighs 35 tons, has undergone many strict inspection steps by specialized agencies, ensuring food hygiene and safety, packaging specifications, traceability… and is expected to be consumed at major supermarket chains in Korea.

Director of Ea H’leo Macadamia Agricultural Production, Trade and Service Cooperative Nguyen Van Binh said that the “Macadamia Ea H’leo” brand is built on three main pillars: sentiment, brand and quality. Developing the brand and exporting macadamia nuts is the right direction for the cooperative with a wide open market potential.

To sign an official contract to export macadamia nuts to the Korean market, the cooperative has standardized all stages of care, harvesting, and processing according to standard procedures, with clear origins, ensuring food hygiene and safety, certification of goods origin, full invoices and documents, and technical specifications requiring high accuracy.

Previously, on December 1, in Buon Ma Thuot city, EDE Farm Service Trading Company Limited (MISS EDE) held the ceremony to export the first 20-foot container of roasted and ground coffee, including 18,000 packages of roasted and ground coffee of the MISS EDE brand to the US market. The coffee is processed according to a fermentation process that meets US FDA standards.

Mr. Hoang Danh Huu, Brand Founder and CEO of MISS EDE, shared that the event was an important turning point for the unit, showing that the company’s products can meet the highest standards of the US market – a very demanding market. To convince US partners to import, MISS EDE must meet all food safety and hygiene standards of the host country.

In addition, the company is also a pioneer in searching for and importing coffee products from sustainable farming areas. Specifically, coffee materials are grown in sustainable farming areas that do not encroach on natural forests, are EUDR certified and are managed by Simexco DakLak.

It can be said that in 2024, businesses and cooperatives in Dak Lak province have continued to improve product quality, launching many new product designs; At the same time, proactively seek and expand export markets and make good use of mechanisms and policies, especially from free trade agreements that Vietnam has signed to boost exports.

Prices of agricultural products such as coffee, pepper, durian, etc. have increased, contributing significantly to the province’s export turnover. In addition, the emergence of new enterprises and new products participating in official exports are also outstanding results in the province’s export activities.

According to Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Krong Pac district Ngo Thi Minh Trinh, the whole district has 8,113 hectares of durian, the area for products is 4,037 hectares, the total output in 2024 is estimated at 92,016 tons. The district’s agricultural exports in 2024 achieved high results, the district’s durian has been exported to the Chinese market and many other markets.

In addition, in 2024, Krong Pac district is the first locality in the province to have a shipment of bird’s nests officially exported to the Chinese market. Based on the achievements, the district continues to direct the export of key products to be truly sustainable and developed, ensuring quality to consumers.

Mr. Le Duc Huy – Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dak Lak 2/9 Import-Export One Member Co., Ltd. (Simexco DakLak) said that in terms of export, in 2024, the unit will achieve a turnover of 350 million USD; of which coffee exports will reach 250 million USD, pepper exports will reach 100 million USD. In 2025, Simexco Daklak aims to achieve an export turnover of 500 million USD.

The fact that enterprises and cooperatives focus on building brands and improving quality has significantly contributed to the growth of export turnover. In the coming time, enterprises will continue to work together and cooperate with farmers to affirm quality and brand, increase output, and ensure sustainable and long-term export value.

In the context of high agricultural prices, especially coffee and pepper prices continuously setting new peaks, export enterprises in Dak Lak are making efforts to overcome difficulties, have plans to reserve raw materials, plans to innovate and improve technology; at the same time, flexibly respond and find solutions to provide capital to stabilize production and business.

From the experience of 2024 and brand reputation, many enterprises have received new orders for 2025 and currently do not have enough output to meet the import needs of partners.

Ms. Le Thi My Hanh, General Director of Banana Brothers Farm Joint Stock Company, said that the enterprise currently has over 100 hectares of bananas grown using high-tech tissue culture methods, designed in a checkerboard pattern in M’Drắk district. In 2024, the enterprise exported 10,000 tons of bananas to the markets of China, Mongolia, and South Korea with more stable prices than in previous years. Many partners want to sign long-term sales contracts, but currently, the company’s banana output is not enough to supply.

“To export sustainably, it is necessary to maintain quality, ensure the quality of products reaching consumers, thereby creating prestige, product brand and having large, long-term customers. In 2024, the enterprise was honored to receive the Vietnam Golden Star Award, contributing to strengthening the prestige and brand of the enterprise. In 2025, the enterprise plans to expand the production area to continue expanding the export market” – Ms. Le Thi My Hanh shared.

To date, Dak Lak’s processed agricultural products have reached more than 70 countries and regions around the world. The province has many agricultural products with export value and good competitiveness in the world market. In recent times, the industry and trade sector of Dak Lak province has promoted trade promotion activities, connecting trade, accompanying and supporting enterprises in promoting and bringing products to the world market.

Mr. Luu Van Khoi – Director of Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade said that, promoting the achieved results, in 2025, the province strives to achieve an export turnover of 1.7 billion USD. To increase export turnover, Dak Lak continues to facilitate mechanisms and policies to support enterprises and cooperatives to invest better in technology, capital and promote and advertise products, and proactively innovate technology. At the same time, the industry continues to encourage enterprises and cooperatives to invest in deep processing, create added value for products, strive to introduce many new product designs, and seek more export markets.
