With a market of over billion people, the first is Vietnamese passion fruit products imported into China with temporary regulations. Next, Vietnam’s durian and bananas are allowed to be imported through the signing of a protocol on phytosanitary requirements between the two countries. Most recently, the two sides signed a Protocol on phytosanitary requirements for Vietnamese sweet potatoes imported into China.

This is also the largest market for oats in the world, accounting for 80% of the global market share. After 3 years of technical negotiation efforts, the bird’s nest industry has also activated this large market, opening up opportunities to restructure and develop the product chain with higher added value.

Not only the Chinese market, Vietnam’s lemons and pomelos have also been allowed to be imported into the New Zealand market. This is the fourth and fifth fruit exported from Vietnam to New Zealand, after mango, dragon fruit and rambutan.

Another special thing is that pomelo is also the 7th fruit allowed to be imported into the US after mango, longan, lychee, dragon fruit, rambutan and breast milk. This is a market with a large demand for fruit, up to 12 million tons per year. The country’s domestic fresh fruit production currently only meets 70% of the demand, the remaining 30% (equivalent to about 3.6 million tons) must be imported.

From bringing pomelo to the US, General Director of Chanh Thu Fruit Import-Export Group Joint Stock Company said, businesses will have more knowledge, experience and prestige to confidently conquer. other potential markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China… to agricultural economic thinking.

Unlike the opening of plant products, animal products are open to each specific unit because it must be associated with the successful construction of facilities and disease-free areas.

Therefore, processed chicken meat has been exported to the Japanese market since 2017 by Koyu & Unitek Co., Ltd in Dong Nai province, but it was not until this year that CPV Food Binh Phuoc Co., Ltd. successfully built a meat production chain. disease-free chickens from feed factories, breeders, commercial chicken farms, slaughterhouses, processing factories for export products in Binh Phuoc.

Livestock products are one of the three main export products of the province, so Binh Phuoc is considered one of the leading localities in building disease-free breeding areas.

Tran Tue Hien, Chairman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People’s Committee, said that Binh Phuoc’s goal by 2030 is to successfully build 11 out of 11 districts, towns and cities in the province that are disease-free for family influenza. guinea fowl and Newcastle upon chickens according to Vietnamese standards; in which, there are 6 districts and cities that meet OIE (World Organization for Animal Health) standards. With the orientation of livestock development along the value chain from production, processing and consumption to improve product value and provide safe products, the province’s livestock products will reach out to the world.

The opening of the Japanese market is expected to contribute export value to the livestock industry and bring jobs and good incomes to thousands of people in the area, said Mr. Montri Suwanposri, General Director of JSC Breeding C.P. Vietnam said.

The advantage over Thailand is that it has a very wide range of harvests, especially when the Central Highlands is in season, it will be in season with other countries, so it will create advantages of specialty agricultural products in this region.

However, the above advantages can only be effectively promoted when the products fully meet the requirements of the importing country on plant quarantine and safety and hygiene. Planted products must be traceable, from management and supervision of the planting area to input and output products; management of packing facilities, phytosanitary treatment measures up to the quarantine at the import border gate.

Hoang Trung, Director of the Plant Protection Department, said that opening the market and signing protocols for official export of agricultural products will create clear legal conditions and transparency and also create motivation. for Vietnamese farmers to produce more professionally, methodically and on a larger scale.
