Vietnamese agricultural products promote customs clearance through Lang Son border gate in the first days after the Year of Wood Dragon

The first shipments across the border gate to the Chinese market in the first days after the Lunar New Year are mainly fresh fruits such as durian, dragon fruit, jackfruit, and watermelon from pre-registered businesses from the Central and Southern provinces.

The Management Board of Dong Dang – Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone informed that on February 14, 2023 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), at two international border gates, Huu Nghi and Tan Thanh, there were 125 trucks carrying agricultural products. Customs clearance to China.

Specifically, Tan Thanh Border Gate Customs Branch said it completed customs procedures for 110 trucks carrying fresh fruits for export, and Huu Nghi International Border Gate Customs Branch completed customs procedures for 15 trucks carrying durians. and jackfruit for export.

The return of customs clearance activities at border gates is expected by many drivers and shippers to be able to send goods out soon.

To make the import and export of goods of businesses convenient and smooth, the customs force has strengthened the force on duty, proactively grasped the situation, actively guided and created conditions for businesses, handling declaration procedures are correct.

Mr. Hoang Khanh Duy – Deputy Head of the Management Board of Dong Dang – Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone said that the unit has exchanged and captured information with relevant Chinese agencies; Pingxiang city government, Ninh Minh, Long Chau (China) on customs clearance time for goods to return.

Accordingly, from February 14-17, two international border gates, Huu Nghi and Tan Thanh, will conduct customs clearance for previously registered import and export goods. However, in reality, for shipments, especially unregistered fresh fruit goods, customs authorities are still ready to carry out procedures and create the most favorable conditions for goods to be cleared as quickly as possible.

By February 18, all other border gates in the province such as Chi Ma, Coc Nam, Na Hinh,… will officially return to normal customs clearance.

The return of customs clearance activities at border gates is expected by many drivers and shippers to be able to send goods out soon. Right before the Lunar New Year, there were more than 100 trucks carrying goods lined up at Huu Nghi and Tan Thanh international border gates waiting for customs clearance to China.

​The Management Board of Dong Dang – Lang Son Border Gate Economic Zone said that in order to share and encourage the spirit of drivers and shippers to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the border, units and forces at these two border gates have giving many Tet gifts, creating all conditions, fully supporting necessities for food and living during the holidays for drivers and shippers.

As soon as customs clearance with the foreign country was granted, the forces here quickly completed procedures and supported carts to facilitate export of goods, avoiding passivity, congestion, and congestion.

It can be said that bustling export activities at Lang Son border gates in the early days of the new year are showing a relatively positive signal for the import-export industry in general in the year of the “golden dragon”.

According to statistics, from the beginning of 2024 until now, the flow of incoming and outgoing passengers and vehicles carrying export-import goods is quite stable, every day about 400 vehicles are cleared through customs procedures, of which the main goods are imported and exported. Vietnam’s strength is still agricultural products and fresh fruits.
