Lemongrass, also known as citronella, is a tall, stalky plant. It has fresh lemony aroma and citrus flavor.
Raw lemongrass is commonly used as ingredient in cooking and bug repellent.
Lemongrass contains several antioxidants, which can help scavenge free radicals in your body that may cause disease. Antioxidants of note are chlorogenic acid, Iso orientin, and asteriosaponin.
