In addition to the Chinese market, vegetables and fruits exported to South Korea, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) also recorded high growth rates in the first half of 2023.

At the current rate, it is forecasted that fruit and vegetable exports in the second half of 2023 will grow positively, especially during the festive season, when demand increases sharply in markets.
According to estimates of the General Department of Customs, as of July 15, vegetables and fruits brought in more than 3 billion USD and by the end of July, the ability to surpass the result of 3.3 billion USD of the whole year 2022 is complete. fully feasible. It is forecasted that fruit and vegetable exports can reach USD 5 – 5.3 billion in 2023.

The prospect of increasing exports to this market continues to be bright. If including the increased demand for importing Vietnamese bananas from Japan, Korea, the Middle East, etc., in 2023, banana exports could bring in a revenue of 700-800 million USD.
