Vietnamese enterprises introduce products in Laos

The annual two-way trade target reaches $2 billion in the future.

Vietnamese enterprises display their products in 120 booths at the Vietnam-Laos Trade Fair (VIETLAO EXPO 2023) which is the largest annual trade promotion event co-organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the two countries. in Vientiane, Laos, from July 29 to 31.

Products on display are diverse, including pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, agro-forestry-fisheries, processed foods, garments, handicrafts, interior and exterior decorations, plastics and consumer products.

Business deals and live and online business networking conferences were held on the sidelines of the fair.

The fair is an opportunity for businesses of the two countries to promote cooperation in trade, investment and tourism.

Two-way trade between Vietnam and Laos will reach 1.63 billion USD in 2022, up 18.9% over the same period last year. This totaled $835 million in the first half of 2023, up 1.3% year-on-year.

The two countries aim to reach an annual trade value of US$2 billion in the future.
