HUNG HAU FOODS ACHIEVES GACC CERTIFICATION FOR FROZEN DURIAN

Hung Hau Foods (HHF) has officially obtained GACC certification for its frozen durian products. This significant milestone not only unlocks the potential for official durian exports to China—a billion-dollar market full of opportunities—but also marks a major breakthrough, paving the way for HHF to expand its frozen fruit market aggressively in 2025.

To export products to China, businesses must comply with strict food safety and quality standards set by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC). The GACC certification serves as a registration license or code granted by Chinese customs authorities, allowing foreign enterprises to export goods—especially food and agricultural products—into the Chinese market.

Under GACC Decrees 248 & 249, all imported food products into China must be registered, including meat and meat products, seafood, dairy products, bird’s nest and its derivatives, fruits (such as durian and jackfruit), nuts, grains, spices, functional foods, and more.
