According to experts, the issuance of agricultural area codes is considered the key to opening the door for Vietnamese agricultural products to reach the global market.
The granting of planting area codes and packing facilities has facilitated product quality control while ensuring traceability, contributing to improving the reputation of Vietnamese goods in the international market and boosting exports.
This also contributes to improving farmers’ production habits to meet market demand.
There are nearly 6,500 growing areas in 53 out of 63 provinces of Vietnam and 16,000 packing facilities in 33 provinces and cities that have been granted export codes.
25 agricultural production households have been granted export codes to key markets such as China, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, and the EU.
