Nearly 70 tons of durian officially exported to China through Lao Cai border gate

Within two weeks, from October 11 until now, Lao Cai International Border Gate Customs Branch has cleared nearly 70 tons of durian for official export to the Chinese market.

Thus, since being officially exported through the international road border gate No. II Kim Thanh, Lao Cai, up to now, 4 durian trucks have been exported with a total weight of nearly 70 tons.

Previously, on October 11 and 12, the Lao Cai international border gate Customs Branch carried out customs clearance procedures for two export durian trucks, with a total weight of more than 34 tons.

Regarding the official export of durian through the area, according to information from the Management Board of Lao Cai Economic Zone, the export of this item is carried out in accordance with the protocol signed between the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. (Vietnam) and the General Department of Customs (China) on phytosanitary requirements for durian exported from Vietnam to China.

Fresh durian products exported through the border gate have special meaning in the period when the Chinese side is implementing the strict disease prevention and control policy “Zero Covid-19”.

In order to have the first durian trucks for export through the international border gate No. II Kim Thanh smoothly, businesses must meet the requirements of specialized agencies on safety and hygiene control. food, no residues of pesticides exceeding the allowable level; at the same time, strictly comply with packaging regulations, ensuring accurate traceability.

Previously, during the first inspection, the Chinese side, after a comprehensive assessment, identified 51 Vietnamese plantations and 25 packing facilities that met the requirements of the Protocol and were approved for registration.
